Fairy many thanks
A friend of mine has recently asked me
to be her soon-to-be born baby's godmother and I have found
your site to be invalueable. I especially like the sentiment
of the 'fairy godparents' piece! (although this is not the
case! hehe) You have helped me a lot and now I know I will
be fine!
Thanks Kelly

Thanks for being our cyber god-parent...
Dear Pete (and everybody else involved with your site)
Thanks for being there when we needed you- we got a marvellous christening gift from Braybrook and Britten (ordered on monday, delivered and engraved by friday!)
Also all the useful and enlightening information on godparenting...
If we ever lost faith in the web, finding a site like yours
reassures us what a marvellous and inspiring tool the internet can be...
best wishes

Good Job!
Just wanted to drop you a msg to
say that I think egodparent is a brilliant idea!
As a vicar who deals a lot with parents, godparents and prospective
godparents I shall be recommending the site to the families
I meet. It will be a really good resource for them.
Although I know the "special adult" role is not
only important to those actually having their children baptised,
please keep the Christian content high and focussed, which
will help people think through what their role is and their
responsibilities with regard to living out the promises that
they make at baptism. Often I have found that for parents
and for godparents the challenge of "what it all really
means" is profoundly helpful.
Thanks again,
Susie Sanders (Rev) - Team Vicar, St John's Cove.

Comment on eGodparent
I have just been looking at your excellent site. I shall certainly be recommending it to my families.
However, there is one fact I spotted that is wrong. The CofE requires that all godparents must be baptised and they should also be confirmed, though the latter may be waived by the priest (I alway do). This can cause real problems. Recently I had a muslim 'godfather'. I left him off the register, but he stood up with the other godparents and seemed to join in the vows!
Keep it up!
Best wishes

Very good web site
From the Lichfield Diocese I hear about your web site. First impressions looks very good. From now on I'll include your web site on my Baptism forms as perhaps a contact point for parents as well as Godparents.
Thanks

eGodparent - What a great site
Hi Peter,
What I great site, I have just discovered
it in the Diocesan news (St Eds & Ips) and very timely too!
I am a Rector having done many Baptisms and prepared many
parents, a parent of two sons both of which are Baptised are
are due to be confirmed this Sunday eve, and to top it all,
also this Sunday, I am about to become a godparent for the
first some (To Rachel, a daughter of church members). And
even I (with all my experience of bapatisms) feel in awe of
the responsiblity of being a godparent, so thanks again for
such a helpful site.
Just a quick question, I will be
recommending the site to parents in future prep sessions,
but can I print off copies of some articles to give out as
handouts?
May God continue to bless you in
your work

Brilliant!
Hi,
Our diocesan mailing included your web
details - it is brilliant and will be such a useful tool round
here (I need the reminders too!!!!). I have put a link to
your site on the baptism (under construction) page on our
church site (hope that's ok?).
Best regards
Graham
